Our Hospital

Welcome to Concord Animal Hospital

Serving South St. Louis County and the Surrounding Areas Since 1958

Concord Animal Hospital was established in 1958 by Dr. Bill Dierberg as a full service veterinary hospital. Today, Concord Animal Hospital continues on that tradition of quality veterinary care. Concord has grown from that single doctor practice established in 1958 to today’s current four doctor practice. Concord Animal Hospital has four employed doctors (three full time and one part time doctor) with over twenty support staff team members. Concord Animal Hospital is known for its doctor longevity as former and current doctors remained with the hospital for over 25 years. This allows for greater continuity for your pet’s long term care.

Every veterinarian is not available for appointments during all hours, and their individual appointment schedules can be seen on their respective staff pages. We do handle walk-in emergencies as necessary, but to prevent excessive waiting times we strongly encourage appointments for all but the most life threatening of emergencies. Please call our front desk at 314-843-9055 to schedule an appointment today.

After Hours Emergencies

Concord Animal Hospital’s doctors do not take after hours emergencies. In the St. Louis area, we have access to multiple emergency veterinary centers. For all after hours emergency we recommend taking your pet to either:

Veterinary Specialty Services – (636) 227-6100
1021 Howard George Drive
Manchester, Missouri 63021

The Animal Emergency Clinic South – (314) 822-7600
9937 Big Bend
Kirkwood, Missouri 63122

Both facilities offer high quality emergency care for your pet and follow up promptly the next day by faxing all visit records to your primary care veterinarian. In most instances our veterinarians will follow-up with you the next business day to see how your family member is doing following their visit.
